Mrs Leanne Watson - Guidance Officer
Available: Thursday and Friday
As part of our Student Support Team (SST) we have a dedicated Guidance Officer (GO) who plays a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and educational development of our students. Our GO provides the following services to our school community:
- counselling to students individually and in small groups
- supporting students with specific wellbeing and learning needs
- collaborating with education and external practitioners, families, and other agencies to provide multidisciplinary student mental health support
- contributing to the social, emotional, and academic development of students in consultation with families and school staff
- providing psychoeducational assessments to students who are having learning difficulties
- supporting families in response to challenging and complex circumstances.
Our GO works closely with students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive. If you have a concern regarding your child's emotional wellbeing or learning needs, please contact your classroom teacher who can refer to our Student Support team.
