Enrolments

Primary enrolments

Although the main entry point for new enrolments is at the commencement of the school year, we do accept expressions of interest at any stage throughout the year.

Please complete the Expression of Interest/Waiting List form and return to the administration staff at your earliest convenience.

Enoggera State School now operates under a School Enrolment Management Plan, which means that all newly enrolling students must reside within our catchment area unless there is capacity for out of catchment enrolments.

Here is a link to the School Catchment Maps website: http://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/maps/edmap/

All students, whose main place of residence is within the school’s catchment area, are (subject to the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006) eligible for enrolment at the school. The School Principal will hold places for students who relocate to within the catchment area throughout the school year.

Parents who wish to enrol their children at Enoggera State School will need to demonstrate that the student’s principal place of residence is within the catchment area. Current proof of residency at the address indicated can be provided as follows:

  • Home Owner
    • Contract of Sale; and or
    • Current Brisbane City Council Rates Notice; and
    • Current account for supply of domestic electricity (showing usage)
  •  Lease Holders (all three documents required)
    • Lease extending at least three months from the child’s expected start date at Enoggera State School; and
    • Original Receipt from the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) for lodgement of the rental bond; and
    • Current account for supply of domestic electricity (showing usage)

Visit the Department of Education, Training and Employment website for full information about the Enoggera Enrolment Management Plan (EMP).

Prep year enrolments

To assist with the transition into Prep, we conduct transitional programs from Term 3 which enable new students and their parents to participate in school activities.

Children must be 5 on or before 30 June in the year they enrol in Prep.

Use the Department's prep ready reckoner calculator to determine when your child can commence their preparatory year.

A copy of the Birth Certificate must be provided with the Enrolment Application before the enrolment can be accepted.  Enrolment interviews are conducted with the Principal in Term 2; however, alternative times can be arranged by contacting the school office.

Interviews for Prep 2018 enrolments will be commencing on Thursday 1 June 2017. Interviews will be held each Thursday and Friday morning, from 9am - 11am.

Please read our Enrolment Management Plan which can be found on the DETE website.
